Anisimov, Enos Tabbed CCCMVCA Players of the Week
In the North:
No. 4 Santa Monica College strengthened its standing in the Northern Region with a pair of five-set victories over No. 8 Moorpark and LA Pierce. The Corsairs continue to show resilience in extended matches, with their only conference losses coming against No. 3 Santa Barbara City College. Moorpark rebounded from its loss to Santa Monica with a four-set victory over El Camino College, keeping pace in a tightly contested field. No. 5 Long Beach City College maintained its strong form, earning straight-set wins over LA Pierce and Antelope Valley to remain among the top teams in the region. No 3. Santa Barbara City College split its matches on the week, sweeping El Camino before falling to No.6 Fullerton College in four sets. Fullerton also secured a midweek win over Antelope Valley.
In the South:
No. 1 Orange Coast College continued its dominant run, sweeping both San Diego Miramar and Grossmont College to extend its win streak and remain unbeaten. No. 9 San Diego Mesa posted an impressive 2-0 week, earning victories over Irvine Valley College and No. 2 Golden West College. The win over Golden West marked a significant turnaround from their previous meeting earlier in the season. No.7 San Diego Miramar went 1-1, falling to Orange Coast before rebounding with a win over Irvine Valley. No. 10 Santiago Canyon College split its matches, dropping a contest to Grossmont before earning a sweep over Palomar College.
Demian Anisimov, OH, Fr., Santa Monica College
Anisimov delivered a standout week to lead Santa Monica to a pair of five-set victories over Moorpark and LA Pierce. The freshman outside hitter piled up 47 kills while hitting .337, adding 5 aces, 24 digs, and 4 total blocks. He also contributed 55 total points and chipped in 3 assists.
Ryan Enos, OPPO, Fr., San Diego Mesa College
Enos powered San Diego Mesa to back-to-back four-set wins over Irvine Valley and Golden West with an impressive offensive showing. The freshman opposite recorded 37 kills on the week, including 16 against Irvine Valley and 21 against Golden West, while hitting an efficient .337 overall. His strong play on the right side was key in securing two important conference victories.
